This morning was the first time that Marina had ever heard "One Step Ahead." She drifted in from the next room, loving the song and thinking she was hearing a voice that was akin to Elliott Smith. I think of Elliott as one of those "could've been in the Beatles had he been given the chance." Other people who could fill that role...
